Here are the things you should avoid when constructing a definition for a business term:<\/p>\n

Definitions should not repeat the name of the term or element in lieu of a definition, or otherwise simply reference it without additional explanation <\/li>\n
Definitions should not contain embedded definitions of other terms (with exceptions, as covered in this lesson)<\/li>\n
Definitions will not refer to terms or concepts that might be misinterpreted by others or that have different meanings based on the context of conversation<\/li>\n
Definitions will not contain acronyms or abbreviations that are not clearly defined<\/li>\n
Avoid circular references<\/li>\n
Definitions will not be self-contradictory<\/li>\n
Avoid using definitions to persuade<\/li>\n
Avoid using emotional or emotive language in
