Here are the high level best practices to follow when naming a term:<\/p>\n

  1. The term should be unique<\/li>\n
  2. The term should be stated in the singular<\/li>\n
  3. Use plain language<\/li>\n
  4. Use names that are meaningful to your business community<\/li>\n
  5. Terms should be sufficiently descriptive<\/li>\n
  6. Include context information as appropriate<\/li>\n
  7. Capitalize all principal words of the term name, including those that follow hyphens in compound terms. <\/li>\n
  8. The term should be a noun or noun phrase<\/li>\n
  9. Multiple terms in the name should be separated by
